I am a retired Librarian but originally trained as a Radiographer.
I have always been interested in Arts and Crafts and painted water colours and acrylics. As a mature student I did A levels in Art and Art History and then took the Art Foundation Course which introduced me to what is now my first love. Painting with wools, fibres and anything which can embellish an otherwise flat piece of felt.
I recently moved back to Lancashire from Argyll in Scotland where I was able to indulge myself with a group of likeminded felters. We exhibited in local galleries and at craft shows.
For twelve months all my crafts and wools have been in storage. I recently joined the Embroiderers Guild and look forward to the opportunity to learn more and hopefully exhibit with them and Natural Progression.
