Libertas loaded
Hi got back from Towneley today with Tracey after two days of setting up the exhibition. We are both exhausted but extremely pleased with the results.
I have included some photos below, but for the full effect you need to see it in real life.
It looks great, and in fact just as we finished the final touches, three ladies from Penwortham WI looked around the exhibition, had a guided tour and were the first to put some really lovely comments in the Visitors Book.
USUAL FIRST DAY MAYHEM
I am sorry if not all pieces of work are shown here, as I tried to be fair but I had to pick out the best photos from the bunch- I think my battery needs changing!!!
I am sure the preview on Sunday 9th July will go well, and hopefully we will get a good turnout.
Please come along 2.00pm to 4.00pm.

Libertas
Well we are nearly there now, I have collected most of the members work, and it looks to be a brilliant exhibition with demonstrations and mini workshops planned.
Obviously I will add more photos when the exhibition has been installed. The Preview will be held on Sunday 9th July 2.00pm to 4.00pm- all welcome to come and meet the artists. Entrance to the hall will apply.

Progress for Libertas
Hi well not long now until our exhibition at Towneley Hall will open, and all our members are busy finishing their pieces of work.
Personally due to a bout of vertigo followed by a holiday in Turkey I am unusually still trying to make a few more 3D items.
In fact since my return I have made 4 scarves, 2 cushions, 2 bags, a lampshade and a vessel. I am hoping to make a further 2 sets of jewellery next week, and then I am finished.
Oh I forgot, I threw a bird in the bin (obviously not a real one!!!) as it was made during a belt of vertigo and looked like a truck had run over it, and have now made 2 much more replacement birds to adorn a further 3D piece.
The catalogue is nearly finished and all relevant info sent to Towneley.
I will add some photos later.
Phew!!!

Progress so far
Well our exhibition 'Libertas' ,based on all aspects of Freedom,is well on its way and I feel we are getting somewhere at last. Having recently visited Towneley Hall I am glad to say that they have come up trumps with some of our props which are required, lateral thinking always works.
You will have to see what I mean when exhibition opens on 8th July!!! closes 10th September
We are running three mini workshops- 1.00pm to 2.00pm & 3.00pm to 4.00pm
Wednesday 9th August - Simple Weaving with Sue
Wednesday 16th August- Simple Stitch with Caroline & Anne
Wednesday 23rd August- Simple Needle Felting with Nicky & Sue
These are to be fun events for Adults & children- (children under 14 must be accompanied.
We also hope to steward on a rota basis at least every two weeks for a couple of hours. This will give members of the public an opportunity to meet the artists and ask any questions.
This is an exciting event for us, and something we have worked towards for the last 18 months- and as our work is very diverse it should be a great exhibition.
I will obviously put photos on when I can, but here is a taster-

New blog for Natural Progression & 'Fusion'
Hi this is the first post on our new blog- hopefully first of many.
Not a lot to say as reasonably quiet before the hectic period setting up Liberte at Towneley Hall. More to follow on this.
We are currently exhibiting at 'Fusion' Astley Hall, Chorley with One-Step-On, Parbold EG and the Quilters Guild. The exhibition ends on Monday 1st May.
It looks great and has generated plenty of interest.
Photos below which have been blown up extra large as photos really do not do the work justice-
